A great story of redemption and persistence told by a courageous young man 

 

Too many young boys suffered extraordinary deprivation as forced child-soldiers during the brutal Sudanese civil war. Francis Deng was one – his physical suffering compounded by the tragic deaths of his mother and younger siblings. Many boys died.

Miraculously, Francis survived.
